Romaeuropa has built its success through a network of national and international relationships that has successfully boosted the Foundation’s endeavour. Currently, 26 European countries are part of Romaeuropa thanks to the active participation of their Academies, Cultural Institutes and Embassies. In addition, Romaeuropa is associated with broader European cultural networks, such as IETM (Informal European Theatre Meeting); Association Europèenne des Festivals, which brings together 76 theatre and dance festivals around the world; Temps d’image, the European festival, sponsored by ARTE’, the Franco-German TV art channel; Réseau Varèse, the institute that promotes contemporary music and opera; European Foundation Centre, which groups over 200 European cultural foundations.

Recognised by the Italian state, through the Ministry of Culture, Fondazione Romaeuropa is supported by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the City of Rome, the Provincial Council of Rome, the Regional Council of Lazio, the EU, the Roma Tre University and a number of European cultural ministries, all represented in the Romaeuropa  Board of Directors. Thanks to an initiative by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it has been included in cultural bilateral agreements with 40 countries.

These institutional links are flanked by private sponsors that in the course of the years have provided a network of crucial support. From IRI to ENI, from Banca Nazionale del Lavoro to Cassa di Risparmio di Roma, from La Repubblica to Radio Dimensione Suono, from Assitalia to Lottomatica.
