Felix Kubin is well-known among international audiences for his “bizarre, space circus music ” (The Wire), for his delightful no-school dadatronic pop, thanks to works like the much appreciated ‘Matki Wandalki’ (‘Vandalic Mothers’ in Polish), which came out in 1994 under the German label A-Musik. Or he is is well-known as the founder of the record label Gagarin, or for his tracks on the Caipirinha and Staalplat selections, or for his performances in festivals such as Sonar or Mutek. Candie Hank is none other than the umpteenth project involving that genius Patric Catani. “Kimouchi” is the debut album in this solo project that comes out under Felix Kubin’s Gagarin Records, in what is an eclectic and bizarre disc. Patric Catani self-styles his music as “Lubrificant Sleazecore”, a sort of circus rock’n'roll and crazy pop. Kahn is un untiring Turco-Finnish globetrotter who has been producing electronic music under at least ten pseudonyms and productions. An artist whose sound is continually evolving and who is now experimenting sensuous and sophisticated atmospheres.
